Who you are
- Several years of experience in a similar IT administration, support or helpdesk position
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Google Workspace, Atlassian, or similar IT administration systems
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS administration
- Great communication skills
- Troubleshooting and problem solving mindset

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a hands-on Senior IT Administrator to own and scale our internal IT operations, tools, devices, user management, and automation across Vay
- This will be in a critical role working across almost every department at Vay, and supporting the entire organization by owning and evolving our internal IT systems and tools.
- From managing Google Workspace and Atlassian products to troubleshooting daily issues, you’ll be the go-to person for everything IT. You'll have the autonomy to make improvements, automate processes, and scale infrastructure as we grow, while ensuring our internal systems run like clockwork
- Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware for seamless functionality company-wide
- Manage internal network services and a suite of technology tools
- Set up and manage user accounts; especially in Google Workspace and Atlassian products
- Automate internal IT processes to drive efficiency and minimize manual work
- Support helpdesk operations, ensuring timely resolution of desktop, application, and equipment issues
- Maintain and evolve internal IT documentation and policies to keep them accessible and crystal clear
Our take
Driverless cars are often considered as the future of transport, but the AI-driven innovation is not yet powerful and safe enough to be made publically available. Furthermore, it is anticipated that many people would not trust AI-driven driverless cars regardless of their state of development, preferring to know that a human is behind the wheel.
Vay develops autonomous driving hardware powered by "teledriving", a system in which cars are driven remotely by humans. The German company will begin by providing orderable cars that can be driven manually by the customer but parked remotely by Vay staff, with future use cases including full remote rides, ride-sharing, last-mile delivery, and public transport.
Whilst other companies such as Mobileye have made plans to provide driverless cars to German cities, Vay is standing out with its unique focus on the trust of teledriving. Furthermore, the initial focus on autonomous parking will greatly speed up rollout and give the company a competitive edge.
