- 10+ years of channel sales, enterprise sales, and/or solutions selling experience, with a proven track record in a leadership role
- Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding KPIs and targets
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and manage strategic relationships
- Extensive understanding of industry trends and the competitive landscape
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data analysis into strategic insights to drive partner strategy
- Highly motivated and proactive with the ability to work efficiently and effectively
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- A strategic thinker who is curious, resilient, and passionate about finding solutions to challenges
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
What the job involves
- The Channel Sales team is being established to capitalize on a significant opportunity within Rain: leveraging our extensive partner network to drive high-quality lead generation and referrals to sales
- This new lead will focus on building new key ecosystems of partners, collaborate with partners to strengthen and expand existing relationships, and create lead-generation opportunities with associations, industry partners, resellers, and more
- The Channel Sales Lead will serve as a central point of contact for our counterparts and partner sales and account manager teams
- This role involves coordinating co-selling initiatives with partner sales leads or referrals and acting as a liaison with our sales organization
- Building strong relationships directly with partner sales teams, including providing updates, reporting, and attending on-site meetings/events, is crucial
- As needed, they will manage team members to help drive the relationships and leads from critical partners that are assigned
- The Channel Sales Lead will report directly to the VP of Channel Sales
- Develop and execute a comprehensive channel sales strategy to drive lead generation and revenue growth through partner relationships
- Identify new opportunities and ecosystems to build partner relationships
- Expand partnerships within integrated partners of Rain
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners' sales and account management contacts
- Collaborate with teams to define processes for co-selling and generating referral opportunities for our sales team
- Provide partners with visibility into the pipeline progression of joint prospect opportunities
- Lead the enablement and training of partners on the Rain platform
- Educate internal teams on the value proposition of our partners for bi-directional referrals
- Analyze and document key insights on leads and deal wins and losses to refine strategies
Our take
Financial difficulties continue to be a leading cause of employee stress, and waiting for payday can cause periods of cash drought where workers are vulnerable to overdraft fees and predatory lending. Rain provides employees with access to an amount of their earned wage, which is reimbursed by employers per their regular pay cycle.
Although paying employees more often seems a solution to the payday problem, it is often too demanding for payroll departments, and brings associated costs that companies would rather avoid. Rain is free to employers who offer it as a benefit for their employees, and it integrates with payroll systems easily. Instead of paying high interest on a payday loan, employees pay a small fee for the transaction when they access pay before payday.

Clear Haven has invested in other ascendant fintechs such as Walnut and Torpago, making it a promising partner. Rain's impressive investment will fund its continued US expansion, further develop technology and infrastructure, as well as contribute to increasing marketing efforts.
