Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience required
- 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales management experience required
- 3+ years of experience in transplant required
- Bone marrow transplant experience preferred
- Contracting and CSO experience preferred
- Proven track record in leading a nation-wide pharmaceutical sales team
- Strong leadership, planning and organization, problem solving and decision
- Making skills, as well as technical skills

What the job involves
- We are excited to announce that at this time we are looking for a Transplant National Sales Director to join our team of over 10,000 global field representatives in several regions making over 20 million product details annually for our pharmaceutical and biotech clients
- In this role you will be supporting a pharmaceutical company recognized worldwide for their innovative medicines they provide to patients, physicians and healthcare organizations
- The Transplant National Sales Director will help develop and deliver the sales strategy, be responsible for the strategy execution and serve as a key information holder regarding the marketplace and thus, be able to react appropriately to that market as needed
- They will also be responsible for delivering on all contractual obligations as agreed to with the client
- Coach and council District Managers to reinforce product knowledge, core selling message and role model best practices
- Recruit, interview and select Key Account Manages
- Handle performance reviews, personnel issues, discipline and termination of subordinates
- Generate sales in line with project goals as set by Client and agreed upon by IQVIA
- Act as the primary link between the Client and IQVIA for all operational and human resources/personnel needs relating to the Field Force
- Provide monthly reports to the Client

IQVIA is a world leader in analytics and clinical research in the life sciences sector. Formed from a merger between IMS Health and Quintiles, it has over 40 years of experience in the sector and has grown to become one of the world’s largest contract research organisations, with a network spanning more than 100 countries.
Since its founding, IQVIA has outperformed the market, with is main concerns being in the expansion of biosimilar firms such as Humira which are able to provide generic drugs from existing medications, without needing further data analysis. However IQVIA’s involvement in new areas of research are likely to more than offset this trend.
With global medicine spend on track to reach £1.3 trillion by 2025, IQVIA is focusing its efforts on oncology and immunology, the most profitable sectors in pharmaceutical development. It is also building out its technological infrastructure, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence. While it is frank about the limitations of this technology within the sector, it is able to greatly augment the data-handling capabilities of health science teams. Development in this sector is key to IQVIA’s growth plans for 2025 and beyond, which is on track with 2023-24 seeing a massive increase in company share value.
