Design Manager, Finary

• 3+ years managing designers in a scale-up or strong product company
• Experience managing diverse profiles — product designers, design engineers, brand designers, or system designers

• We're looking for a design manager to lead our design team through a critical growth phase. You'll shape how millions of people experience their finances, build a world-class design team, and help establish Finary as a design-forward company
• Lead the design team — hire, coach, and develop 3-5 designers across product, brand, and systems
• Set the quality bar — establish design standards, critique rituals, and feedback culture
• Own the design system — build foundations that scale with the product
• Partner with product, engineering & marketing — embedded in roadmap planning and execution
• Ship great work — maintain craft oversight and quality across all touchpoints
• Build the culture — make Finary known for design excellence
• You'll join a design team of 2 (1 product designer and 1 system designer) with the mission to grow it to 4-5 over the next year
• You'll hire a brand designer, product designers and possibly design engineers to round out the team
• You'll work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams, with full ownership from day one. This is a true leadership role where you'll shape both the team and the product
