Who you are
- Full Stack Web Dev Bootcamp Qualification or Computer Science Degree
- You are excited about building products with our customers in mind
- One of the following: - You have some experience (including academic or personal projects) with ReactJS, Vue.js or Angular - You are very comfortable with HTML+CSS
- You have some experience in typed compiled languages (including academic or personal projects), for example, Java, Go, Typescript, Rust, C/C++, C Sharp
- You are able to write SQL, able to utilise basic joins, aggregations and calculated queries when appropriate
- You are eager to take opportunities to be mentored and for self-directed learning
- You have an academic or personal software project you've written on your own that you're proud of, which you'd be happy to walk us through during the interview process
What the job involves
- Our office is in the heart of Shoreditch: you will be expected to be in the office 4 times a week during probation. After your probation, you can work flexibly, with most engineers in on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You will be working a 36-hour week
- As a start-up, we often focus on building new features, but we also have to fix bugs and maintain our existing software. Most of your time will be spent coding!
- You will work closely with other engineers, product designers, product managers and product support staff to build new features and fix bugs in our software. The Product and Technology team has about 12 staff, and the company as a whole has around 65 people
- You will be taking part in refinement sessions, which take plans from our designers to precise specifications our engineers can implement
