- Apple is seeking a very hardworking, motivated and innovative senior DevOps engineer to join its IS&T Partner Solutions & Technology team
- We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about operational perfection through automation and engineering processes
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps engineering roles
- 8+ year of working in Linux or other POSIX operating systems
- 8+ years of experience working with containers and container orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
- 5+ years of experience with Helm and Kustomize for leading Kubernetes applications and configurations through GitOps practices
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Desirable
- Proficiency working with configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible and Terraform
- Proven expertise with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and build packaging tools like Maven, Gradle, and NPM
- DevOps experience with AWS and AWS technologies (EC2, IAM, AWS EKS, Lambda, cloud watch, S3 etc.)
- Committed to operational excellence through automation and utilizing programming/Scripting languages such as Bash, Python and Java
- In-depth understanding of observability technologies such as Prometheus, Splunk, and Grafana
- Experience working with Kafka, Redis, and Elastic Search for building and leading real-time data streaming, caching, and search solutions in distributed environments
- Adaptable to prioritizing multiple issues in a high-pressure environment
- Bonus: Experience in ML Ops and experience in contribution to Gen AI features and ideas related to DevOps operations excellence
What the job involves
- You will play a crucial role in ensuring the flawless integration of development and operations processes, to deliver outstanding and highly available systems
- You will work with the application development teams to understand infrastructure requirements, while promoting efficiency, scalability, security, and reliability throughout the software lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure applications achieve high availability and scalability
- Establish processes and best practices for building and deploying applications and services on on-premises
- And cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP
- Guide architectural decisions with an emphasis on security, scalability, and high performance
- Work closely with Application Engineering teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications
- Create automation frameworks to streamline common development and operational tasks
- Create technical documentation, architecture designs, policies, best practices, and guidelines for the DevOps
- Team, while serving as an advocate for DevOps processes
- Diagnose and resolve issues to ensure the continuous availability and reliability of services
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers
