Data Engineering Lead, Doctor Care Anywhere

• We’re looking for someone who is a strong technical leader, with experience in the Microsoft data stack or similar platforms
• Azure SQL / SQL Server
• Azure Data Factory (ADF) for orchestration and data pipelines
• Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, PySpark/Scala)
• Azure cloud services (Storage, Key Vault, Functions, etc.)
• Proven experience designing and implementing modern data architectures (e.g., lakehouse, data warehouse, ELT frameworks)
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data at scale
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management — able to engage with both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Strong leadership qualities with experience mentoring or guiding engineering teams
• A collaborative, personable approach — able to build trust and influence across the organisation
• Problem‑solver with a focus on delivering pragmatic, effective solutions
• Comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment

• We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive the design, development, and optimisation of our data platform
• This role is critical in shaping our data engineering practices, enabling high-quality analytics, and ensuring reliable data delivery across the organisation
• You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders, communicate clearly, and help set high engineering standards by leading through example
• Lead the design, build, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and data platform components
• Architect and optimise solutions using Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and related Azure services
• Oversee data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes to support analytics, reporting, and operational data needs
• Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, promoting best practices and engineering standards
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and product owners to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are upheld across all data engineering deliverables
• Evaluate new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the data engineering function
• Support the evolution of our cloud data strategy and contribute to architectural decisions
