Who you are

3-5 years of experience in customer-facing support / engineering role
Engineering degree or quantitative equivalent or similar experience
Programming and / or scripting experience (Python, shell, React)
Experience with Linux
Experience with distributed systems / cloud services is nice to have
Familiarity with monitoring, observability, telemetry, and SRE principles is advantageous
Programming experience with generative AI (ChatGPT) and Bot-based solutions via chat (Slack) is nice to have
Experience with trading systems in either capital markets or digital assets strongly preferred
Curious, willing to learn, and question existing processes and protocols
Exceptional problem-solving ability

What the job involves

Talos is currently seeking a Client Services Engineer to help streamline client service by creating automation and instrumentation solutions
You'll identify common client issues and develop proactive solutions to prevent them
You'll also help maintain system stability through real-time monitoring of our production systems
As part of a global team, you'll serve as a key contact between Talos and our clients, addressing trading and operational queries
This role provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Innovate Client Services: Drive the transformation and reduction of “toil” of client support by developing innovative automation solutions, ensuring seamless and efficient service experiences
Anticipate and Solve Problems: Stay ahead of client needs by identifying common pain points and creating proactive solutions, preventing issues before they arise
Enhance Client Experience: Act as a trusted advisor and main point of contact for clients, handling trading and operational queries with expertise and dedication as part of our global team
Ensure System Reliability: Play a critical role in maintaining system stability and health, employing real-time monitoring to keep our production systems running smoothly and efficiently

So far, the increasing institutional interest in the value of crypto-assets has been stymied by a lack of scaled, efficient, and secure infrastructure that these institutions could use for trade. Talos addresses the problem of digital asset trading between institutions, helping them to securely sidestep these obstacles into a fresh market with potentially huge returns.

The company provides a range of end-to-end, highly configurable tools to populate and facilitate the institutional crypto-asset market from just one platform. Talos' approach is helping to lower the bar for wide-ranging adoption of cryptocurrency, supporting the full lifespan of digital assets trading. That said, because the company is developing an entirely new asset class market, progress is accelerated, and competition may have a chance to overtake.

Promising for Talos was the interest of prominent investors, including PayPal and Fidelity, during their Series A and B funding rounds. The funds were used to create an institutional-grade service that would help shape and spearhead this developing market. More recently, the company has formed several significant partnerships, including with BlackRock, and acquired D3X Systems, the integration of which will enable its clients to design, validate, implement, and manage highly customised portfolios.
