Who you are
- BS, MS, or equivalent practical in engineering with 7+ years of experience in designing and building complex mechatronics systems
- A passion for solving challenging technical problems – Strong engineering intuition and persistence to identify the root cause of a problem, solving problems using first principles
- Familiar with in all phases of product development lifecycle including gathering requirements, design, implementation, debug, verification, qualification, and transfer to manufacturing
- Familiar with Product Lifecycle Management and documentation control systems
What the job involves
- Mytra is seeking a Systems Engineering Lead to serve as the technical architect and integrator for our robotic platform
- This is a lead role responsible for the system-level technical roadmap, cross-disciplinary alignment, and long-term reliability of the product
- You will operate at the intersection of hardware, embedded systems, controls, perception, software, and infrastructure — ensuring that Mytra’s platform evolves as a coherent system, not a collection of subsystems
- Additionally, you will make high-impact decisions that balance performance, cost, safety, reliability, and speed — ensuring Mytra robotic platform scales without accumulating hidden system risk
- Own the end-to-end system architecture of Mytra’s robotic platform across mechanical, electrical, embedded, controls, and software domains
- Define and evolve the technical roadmap to ensure the platform scales in capability, reliability, and manufacturability
- Establish clear system boundaries, interfaces, and responsibility splits between engineering teams
- Mediate high-stakes technical decisions to keep the engineering teams aligned and moving at startup speed
- Distill complex field data, edge-case failures, and prototype learnings into a clear system-level technical narrative
Our take
Since the pandemic exposed weaknesses in global supply chains, warehouses have struggled with labour shortages and outdated ways of working. Many facilities still rely heavily on manual procese, with little automation in place. THis has made it harder for companies to move goods efficiently at a time when demand, costs, and complexity are all rising.
Mytra is tackling this problem by rethinking how materials move inside warehouses and industrial facilities. Founded in 2022 by former Tesla engineers, the company is building a software-driven system that treats material movement like a programmable platform rather than a fixed piece of machinery. Its modular robotic solution can move, store, and route heavy goods while making better use of warehouse space, helping facilities reduce wasted aisles and unused areas. And early deployments have already shown meaningful results, including large reductions in manual labour and significant improvements in storage density.
In 2026, Mytra raised a $120M Series C round to scale its technology following a breakthrough year in which it signed contracts with some of the world's largest organizations. The company now counts Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 customers, completed a deployment many times larger than any previous installation, and expanded its team rapidly with senior hires an a new, much larger facility. Backed by major investors and strategic partners, Mytra is positioning itself not just as a warehouse robotics company, but as a foundational platform for how goods are moved across modern supply chains.
