Who you are
- Proven Track Record: Experience and success in driving the People Operations teams for companies at a similar size and scale and an understanding of how to build for the next stage of our growth. This will include the ability to lead and build through high pressure and sensitive topics
- Project Management: Ability to multitask and efficiently handle sensitive competing priorities, delegating when necessary while being highly organized, detail oriented, and having great time management skills
- Communication: Ability to effectively communicate to all company audiences including the executive team, leadership across technical and non-technical functions, and IC employees
- Attitude & Ambition: The best candidates for Material Security are smart, hard working, motivated to drive their initiatives forward and not afraid to fail. They are team-first but willing to take the lead with minimal guidance and supervision
What the job involves
- As a Director of People Ops at Material Security, you will build and lead our HR function, ensuring that our people's practices align with our company's mission and values
- You will establish HR strategies, policies, and initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive work culture, driving employee engagement, retention, and development
- You will also assist current employees, onboarding, and compliance across the organization
- Establish robust performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development plans
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations while effectively managing compensation and benefits programs
- Enhance employee engagement and satisfaction through the development and implementation of employee-centric programs and initiatives
- Develop manager training in collaboration with company leadership
- Drive career growth / leveling frameworks
- Help build a world-class team by developing a comprehensive onboarding program and new hire orientation that ensures a smooth and effective integration of new hires into the company culture
