Who you are
- 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, account management or customer service roles
- A high level of energy and enthusiasm. You’re excited to hit the ground running and bring positive energy to the team from day one!
- Excellent communication skills across all channels—whether in person, by phone, or over email
- Fluency in English is required; any extra language is a plus
- Strong social skills paired with a sharp commercial mindset
- Able to keep overview across multiple sellers, campaigns, and priorities
- You are a team player with strong organizational skills and confident working independently when needed
- A passion for interiors, design, or collecting is a definite plus
- Tech-savvy:
- Experience using CRM systems like HubSpot or similar is a plus
- Confident using Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides)

- The Interiors Sales Team at Catawiki is a fast-paced, impact-driven group of commercial talents powering the success of some of Europe’s most passionate sellers
- We operate with a strong sense of ownership, each Key Account Manager, supported by an Account Manager, manages a category-focused portfolio across Europe—whether Design & Vintage, Home Decor, or Classic Interiors—with the mindset of running a business within the business

- The Catawiki Interiors Sales Team is looking for an Account Manager to support the growth of our Home Decor seller portfolio across Europe
- This is a supporting role within the team. As a Account Manager, you will work closely with a Key Account Manager, contributing to the execution of the category strategy while progressively building and managing a smaller portfolio of international sellers
- In this role, you will support Sales, Business Development, and Experts with day-to-day commercial and operational activities
- You will collaborate with experts and sales colleagues to negotiate deals before, during, and after auctions, and regularly follow up on seller KPIs to help drive performance
- At the same time, you will assist the Key Account Manager with administrative and commercial tasks such as setting up email sequences, updating sellers on marketing campaigns, and supporting the execution of commercial initiatives
- This is a seller-facing role with daily interaction across a wide range of sellers and internal stakeholders (experts, category managers). You enjoy building professional relationships and are confident pushing back when needed
- By gradually developing and growing your own seller portfolio, you will play an important role in expanding Home Decor at Catawiki
- As your portfolio and experience grow, so will your scope and responsibilities within the team. This position reports to the Key Account Manager
- As an Account Manager, you will support the Key Account Manager, Sales, Business Development, and the category team with daily account management and commercial execution, while also managing and expanding your own portfolio of sellers
- Seller Development: Build strong relationships with sellers, coach them on KPIs through regular check-ins, and support their day-to-day operations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM data in HubSpot, including notes, targets, discounts, and follow-ups
- Support campaign execution, including email sequences, marketing updates, and SSA planning
- Assist with the setup and execution of category-specific incentive programs, gradually taking ownership of initiatives
- Conduct daily negotiations with buyers and sellers before, during, and after auctions to increase sell-through
- Business Reviews & Insights: Run regular performance reviews with sellers, using data to identify opportunities and drive commercial actions
- Seller Growth: Identify high-potential sellers and support their development into your assigned portfolio

These days, many people prefer online auctions, but whilst they provide a wider range of objects for sale, this comes at the cost of proper pricing and quality control. Catawiki provides an expert-regulated online auctioning marketplace where users can browse and bid for special objects easily via the web or mobile app.
The objects listed on Catawiki are curated, valued, and verified by in-house experts, with over 100,000 objects passing through the marketplace every week. In this approach, the company has combined the community knowledge found at traditional auctions with the benefits of digital auctioning platforms, occupying a space that has long remained empty, and avoiding competition from bidding marketplace giants such as eBay.
Catawiki has received good funding in the past, which contributed to it becoming the success it is today. A recent venture has seen the company expand to serve artisanal artists with its handmade products auction series.
