Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting required, Master’s degree is a plus
- Fluent in English and Spanish is a must, working with a global team, so the more languages, the better!
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working in audit and similar roles ideally for high growth startups

What the job involves
- Manage and oversee the accounting daily operations of the parent company and subsidiaries including:
- Monthly and annual closing for each individual company and group (consolidated)
- Collaborating with the external bookkeeping advisors to ensure that financial records are kept accurate and up to date
- Billing process
- Accounts payable/receivable
- Cash receipts
- General ledger
- Payroll
- Capital assets reconciliations
- Bank account statement reconciliations,
- Fixed asset activity
- Debt activity
- Tax forms (VAT, IRPF, corporate tax, Social Security, etc)
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Support local accounting teams in cross accounting projects led from HQ, such as IFRS implementation, Reporting package implementation, etc
- Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Manage and oversee legal and fiscal files and records to document transactions
- Manage and oversee compliance for the parent company and subsidiaries, specifically customer, partnerships and supplier agreements. Collaborate with third parties when required
- Manage the Controllership & Accounting team
- To provide ad-hoc support to the Chief Financial Officer

Cafler believes the answer to this is no, and provides a service where a professional driver will pick up a customer's car and carry out any services needed on it, from simple refueling or washing to servicing or repairs. Once the work is done, the car is then dropped off to wherever the customer likes.
Starting out in Barcelona in 2021 it has grown rapidly and is now available in over 25 cities throughout Spain as well as Paris and London. It has recently added a range of MOT services, and developed a B2B offering allowing car rental firms and dealers to transfer vehicles using the Cafler platform.
Cafler has attracted significant investor support, most recently in a 2022 funding round. This capital is being used to expand the company's fleet of vehicles and its headcount as it grows its presence into Italy and Germany. With an innovative solution to an inconvenience that affects all car owners, Cafler seems well poised to continue its fast growth.
