Who you are
- You have 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting and / or a similar role in a leading technology company
- You hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
- Strong program management skills with demonstrated ability to deliver results
- Analytical and numerate skills to assemble and synthesize data into compelling narratives that drive stakeholder buy-in
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong relationship-building skills to create a network across various stakeholders and cross-functional teams

What the job involves
- The Traveler Business Team has a mission to deliver the most convenient, rewarding, and memorable ways for people to travel and explore the world
- This division has responsibility to build and drive the growth of our global consumer business across our Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo, and Portfolio brands, and across all our lines of businesses including Hotels, Vacation Rentals, Air, Car, Packages, and Insurtech
- The Global Markets team sits within the Travel Business Team and is responsible for expanding Expedia Group's global business
- The team drives robust and meaningful global market growth, and takes the lead on shaping the growth strategy
- We are looking for a Senior Manager to sit within the Global Markets team and play a pivotal role in driving growth specifically for one of the largest brands in the Expedia Group portfolio - Hotels.com
- Represent Global Markets in Hotels.com strategy, planning discussions and alignment forums across broader Expedia Group teams to drive forward international growth goals
- Represent Hotels.com with International teams, ensuring regional priorities and initiatives align with global brand strategies and goals
- Collaborate cross functionally working across the organization to drive decision-making and execution for successful outcome
- Create clear, concise and organized communication materials (e.g. reports, dashboards, presentations, messages) tailored to a varied set of stakeholders to obtain buy-in

Its primary web businesses include Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Hotwire.com, and Egencia.com.
Between 2021 and 2022, Expedia has been selling and merging a list of its sub-brands in a bid to simplify its operations, including Egencia and Classic Vacations. Due to plummeting share prices, mostly in the case of its sub-brands, Expedia has been leveraging its subsidiaries' customer base and merging them into the company’s core brand. Contrasting this move, Expedia has also been partnering with tech start-ups in a bid to make travel more accessible to underserved groups. Becoming Rentable, a travel company for the disabled is one of 12 startups that are part of Expedia Group’s new Open World Accelerator Programme.
What this indicates is Expedia’s shift from buying other travel companies and a move towards enhancing the experience of its preexisting customer base. This move is aiding in a long-term plan for greater long-term traveler loyalty, utilizing Expedia’s vast amounts of data, not just from reviews, but from check-in, cleanliness, communication, cancelations, etc to inform how guests experience a property.
