Purchasing Officer, Sunswap

• A keen interest in the future of the energy sector and Net Zero. Procurement experience in a related field
• You have a minimum of 2 years' experience in maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
• Commercial and financial awareness including strong analytical abilities. Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Ability to travel to meet with suppliers as required
• Experience with an industry standard ERP system
• Experience of detailed quotation analysis and developing / challenging pricing with suppliers where appropriate. Strong analytical skills and the ability to simplify complex data

Desirable

• Analyse the spend and negotiate on terms to achieve the best overall supply chain cost/service
• You will work in collaboration with the Procurement team to ensure procurement costs are controlled, and savings opportunities are secured
• Develop, improve and manage procurement processes, including Goods-in, Inventory, Goods-out and ERP system development
• Identify new suppliers to source the best products in terms of value, delivery schedules, sustainable practice and quality
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities from RFI/ RFQ through to contract signature and supplier performance review
• Process purchases, monitor inventory, track usage, and adjust procurement activities according to product demand
• Collaborate with Engineering and act as the main contact for all commercial supplier issues
• Work with our production partner to efficiently transfer Bill of Material information, production schedules and forecasts
• Analyse spend data, produce statistics and identify costs and saving opportunities
• Support inventory, stock and logistics activities including booking parts in and kitting parts
