Role
Who you are
- Financial Modeling: Be able to understand and update financial models that follow industry best practices. Expertise in Google sheets (we do not use excel for modeling purposes)
- Data Analysis: A passion for understanding business questions and making data driven insights. Excellent analytical skills. SQL experience preferred
- Detail oriented: Ability to work through complex datasets or problems independently and build an understanding for a solution across multiple data sources
- Systems: Hands-on experience with financial and visualization software. Looker, Salesforce and Adaptive Planning a plus
- Communication: Ability to present financial data concisely using detailed reports and charts and through written and oral communication
- Enterprise SaaS experience: Strong understanding of SaaS Unit Economics and Revenue performance levers a plus
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or relevant degree. MBA or relevant certification (e.g. CFA/CPA) is a plus
What the job involves
- We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Finance Manager to join our rapidly expanding Go-to-Market (GTM) Finance Team within our FP&A organization
- This critical role is central to our Revenue and its associated Costs, ensuring financial prudence and accountability across our core Sales function
- Financial Modeling: Build, maintain and improve financial models to plan, measure and forecast the business
- Data Analysis: Translates data into easy to digest storylines and insights
- Planning and Financial Analysis: Drive financial processes with minimal guidance
- Project Management: Run medium-sized projects that improve our ability to make better data driven insights or make the company more efficient
- Autonomy: executes with limited supervision from senior members of team
- Business Partnership: Influences cross-functional team regularly. Begins to build and manage holistic relationships with select partners

The Handshake platform acts as a LinkedIn for college students, pairing students from every walk of life with more than 650K employers, including the entire Fortune 500, which includes Google and Nike.
The graduate recruitment platform is open to any student with a valid @.edu email address, with more than 17M active users from thousands of colleges and universities. With a student-first philosophy, the company generates revenue from both universities and employers rather than students.
Valued at $3.5B, Handshake has gained traction in a competitive market, although it has strong competition from recruiting giants LinkedIn and Indeed. It stands out, however, by helping students build new relationships and skills, rather than simply making connections to people they already know.
