Role
Who you are
- University degree in an analytical field from a prime academic program
- Minimum of 5+ international experience in investment banking, prime brokerage, management consulting or a strategic role in high-growth Company
- Structured and systematic decision-maker with a strong ownership mentality
- Passion for fintech disruption and digital assets and knowledge of developments in the related ecosystems is a definite advantage
- Proven ability to drive multiple projects across several teams from start to finish with a good understanding of execution trade-offs faced in a fast-moving environment
- Flawless communicator able to convey complex concepts directly and comprehensively to diverse audiences
What the job involves
- Manage the heads of Trading, Sales, Business Development and Digital Asset Research by setting quarterly and long-term objectives
- Support the founding team in establishing and implementing the strategy of the Company
- Convert ideas and concepts into executable detailed plans to roll-out new products and optimize processes within the firm
- Enable synergetic relationships across the teams within investment banking and structure cross-team collaborations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of strategic projects
- Maintain a deep understanding of the industry landscape, the current cryptocurrency market conditions, and Nexo's competitive position
- Represent the Company on Crypto conferences and meetups
Our take
Cryptocurrency, once a niche internet phenomenon, is now a major part of the fiscal landscape, and digital assets make up a large part of many people’s financial portfolio. Nexo aims to make managing them that bit easier, with its digital wallet for crypto.
It sets out to give you the greatest flexibility over how you earn, save and pay. It supports 35 different cryptocurrencies, and offers the ability to buy, exchange or borrow funds, as well as daily interest payouts and the Nexo Card - a credit card that lets you spend your crypto without having to sell it.
Its platform has flexibility that offers strong user appeal, and has cemented its place in the market with over 5 million users. Its status was somewhat rocked, however, by eight US states taking legal action against it in 2022, accusing it of failing to register with the state authorities correctly. The company has now paid its fine of $22.5 million and has discontinued its Earn Interest Product, returning to the US markets in 2025.
