What the job involves

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for performing various accounting functions, such as preparing financial statements, preparing journal entries, reconciling bank accounts, and assisting in month-end and year-end close processes
You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
Kate Farms is committed to providing high-quality nutrition products and improving lives, and the Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in achieving these goals
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Maintain general ledger accounts and perform account reconciliations
Assist in month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and post journal entries
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports
Assist with internal and external audits
Assist in developing and improving accounting policies and procedures
