What the job involves
- As an SDR Caller at Apollo, you’ll be a front-line outbound specialist, generating top-of-funnel meetings through high-volume, phone-first outreach
- Based in Austin, TX this early-career track role is trained in Apollo Labs' proprietary outreach methodologies and is on a pathway to become a future AE or AM
- You’ll work from our Apollo offices at least 3 days/week, collaborating with fellow Callers, Managers, and Labs GTM teams
- Owning phone-first outbound outreach for 2–3 Apollo Labs client campaigns
- Booking at least 13 qualified meetings per client/month with 70%+ hold rate
- Making ~210 dials per day using Apollo’s Parallel Dialer
- Mastering call architecture, talk tracks, and objection handling strategies
- Logging performance, taking coaching feedback, and improving week over week
- You’ll learn the fundamentals of:
- Cold outbound strategy and campaign messaging
- Qualification, discovery, and objection handling
- Team-based collaboration and RevOps tooling
- Sales performance psychology and compensation-based motivation
Our take
Apollo's sales intelligence and engagement platform integrates with companies’ existing internal tools, such as LinkedIn, Salesforce and Hubspot, to increase and optimize sales and marketing leads. Rather than simply employing a volume-heavy approach to leads, Apollo’s software allows users to focus on more convertible prospects, while automating task management and workflow.
The company launched in 2015 and grew steadily in its early years, but the period since 2021 has seen it enter a rapid scale up. Now its customer base includes the likes of Autodesk, Stripe, Docusign and Yelp.
Apollo now intends to keep the upward momentum going, having secured major funding in mid-2023 and is also investing heavily in India as its R&D center, where there’s a burgeoning pool of tech talent. In early 2023, Apollo reported record revenue numbers and appointed a new CPO, indicating a solidification of these aims.
