Who you are
- 5+ years of product management experience within a technology or digital organization
- Detailed knowledge of popular streaming services and the competitive space
- Deep experience of launching apps on partner platforms
- Proven track record of understanding product growth and developing strategic roadmaps
- Solid toolkit of product discovery techniques to drive continuous improvement of the experience
- High comfort level in analytics and generating business insights from data trends and user research
- Direct experience in detailed planning and prioritization of features
- Demonstrated ability to create detailed and actionable product documentation and artifacts
- Emotional intelligence and leadership skills to influence outcomes, while building a culture of teamwork and inclusiveness

What the job involves
- As a Senior Product Manager for Account Sharing at WBD, you’ll influence how users access our products and shape our strategy to monetize password sharing for the Max streaming app
- In this high-visibility role, you will collaborate with cross-functional leaders to articulate a product vision and translate it into actionable next steps
- You’ll combine data modeling and machine learning with user-facing features to unlock new business value

- Help shape our strategy to monetize account sharing
- Define, articulate, and socialize the vision and roadmap for your product area
- Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging industry trends related to user identity, authentication, and password sharing
- Define and execute A/B tests to validate new opportunities and customer experience improvements
- Gather qualitative and quantitative data to support your recommendations
- Lead discovery in your product area, collaborating with Research, Customer Support, Product Design, and Data Science teams to identify new opportunities
- Collaborate with product designers to develop best-in-class user flows
- Develop relationships with key technical teams and business counterparts within Warner Bros Discovery
- Create high-quality written artifacts including user stories, PRDs, and PRFAQs
- Communicate progress against key program metrics
- Own continuous reporting on performance, including post-product release impact reports that lead to actionable plans for further optimization

Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) is an entertainment company formed from the 2022 merger of Warner Bros and Discovery. It is a leader in the creation, production, distribution, licensing, and marketing of content, with Warner Bros alone boasting a huge library – more than 100,000 hours of programming – before the companies were joined. WBD’s portfolio includes Discovery Channel, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Discovery+, HBO Max, and franchises like “Batman” and “Harry Potter”.
Both of the company’s previous businesses have operated throughout the digitisation of the media space. David Zaslav, CEO of WBD, headed Discovery during its expansion into digital media, to make it a “content company” over a “cable company”. The recent focus for Warner Bros has been on next-gen distribution efforts, expanding the availability of its content across platforms and devices to reach the modern viewer. The new company has plans to migrate to one tech stack, which will require extensive retooling, as well as exploring cost-saving automation opportunities for its operations.
Since the merger, the new giant that is Warner Bros Discovery has had a shaky start, forcing the company to wind down operations and cut back on content, which included the very public scrapping of the “Batgirl” movie. However, it now seems the company may have been ahead of the curve, as a wider trend of cutbacks has been seen from peers in the space. This early move, combined with a hyper-focus on cash generation, seeks to establish WBD as an outperformer in an industry on the downturn.
