Who you are
- Minimum Experience: Mid-level
- You will be an excellent communicator, think analytically and innovatively and be brimming with ideas to build on our data insights capabilities and processes
- Experience creating dashboards, Tableau is a must have
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficient in gathering, clarifying, and effectively translating business requirements
- Knowledge of data visualisation best practises
- Advanced knowledge of SQL
- Able to use own initiative and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
Desirable
- Experience using other data viz tools such as Flourish
- Familiarity with D3.js for creating custom and advanced data visualisations
- Experience working in an Education, HR or Marketing setting
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a teammate to join us full-time as a Business Intelligence Analyst in our Data team
- As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for scoping, creating and maintaining business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making
- This is a brand new and exciting role that will have a profound effect on the way we do business by integrating the technical side with the business acumen
- You will work closely with various teams to translate business needs into technical specifications, design dashboards, and deliver insights that drive business growth
- This role is essential in ensuring that our stakeholders have access to the data they need in a visually compelling and easy-to-understand format
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements, scope out dashboards and gather feedback
- Lead on the development of interactive dashboards and reports to provide teams with real-time insights and KPI tracking
- Create tools and data models to visualise and monitor data
- Adhere to visualisation best practices to create accessible and impactful representations of data
- Transform data using SQL to create datasets that are optimised for dashboard and visualisation development
- Identify and address any performance bottlenecks related to data processing and visualisation
- Develop thorough documentation and conduct training sessions to ensure the transfer of knowledge within the team and aid dashboard adoption
