Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical), or a related technical field, with 3–5 years of experience OR 10–12 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in process equipment OEM, AEC, or MEP firms is a plus
- Strong background in project management methodologies and tools
- Proficiency in project scheduling and reporting software (e.g., MS Project, Microsoft Office, Google Suites)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with 3D modeling platforms and experience managing CAD standards and libraries
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Suite, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar software is preferred
- Responsible for creating new 3D model library parts, setting up title blocks for new drawings, and performing administrative functions within ACC
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders
- Confidence in working independently while knowing when to seek guidance
- U.S. work authorization is required

What the job involves
- Via Separations’ technology is pioneering the use of membrane filtration in challenging industrial applications
- As a Senior Project Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the execution of both pilot-scale and commercial projects
- You will work closely with the Project Management team, internal cross-disciplinary teams, and external engineering partners to ensure successful project delivery
- This position offers significant growth potential as the company scales operations, expands project scope, and continues to shape industry standards
- Assist in developing project plans, timelines, budgets, and work breakdown structures
- Monitor progress and ensure alignment with project goals
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with project stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams
- Address concerns and provide updates on project status through management of meeting minutes, action logs and reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret project data to generate reports and presentations
- Provide insights that support decision-making and process improvements
- Manage and maintain project documentation for accurate record-keeping
- Support internal administrative engineering functions, particularly in AutoCAD Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Oversee BIM administration, including creating 3D model library parts, setting up drawing title blocks, and establishing CAD standards and libraries
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time
- Track and report project spending against budgets to ensure financial accountability
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members to achieve project goals
Our take
Heavy industry uses a lot of energy. The processes to separate chemicals, pulp, and petrochemicals waste $100 billion in fossil fuels each year due to inefficiency. This is what Via Separations aims to stop, with its new technologies for drastically reducing energy usage.
Most industrial processes for material separation use thermal processing. To simplify, the material is exposed to extreme heat until one component changes state. What Via Separations does is replace that heat for pressure. The pressure filters the materials, and business use 90% less energy for these process than they would for thermal separation. What’s more, the energy is electric and can be sourced from renewable materials - completely decarbonizing the supply chain.
Its grown quickly since its founding in 2020, and while its offering has been focused on the paper and wood pulp industry to date, it aims to use funding to scale the process to effective across a huge range industries - revolutionizing a massive market, and vastly impacting carbon emissions.
