Who you are
- +5 years of SaaS industry experience, successfully delivering end-to-end, high-performance Machine Learning models focused on Computer Vision
- Theoretical and applied knowledge in Machine Learning concepts
- Hands-on experience working with Deep Learning toolkits such as Tensorflow, or PyTorch
- Proficiency in SQL
- Can effectively communicate the results and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, highly fluid, and multi-functional environment
What the job involves
- In order to take our product to the next level, we need world-class data scientists to automate processes historically reserved for humans, and do so at superhuman performance levels
- We are making significant investments to create a top-notch machine learning platform for prototyping, training, deploying, and evaluating machine learning models at a massive scale
- As a Data Scientist for the Verification Automation team, your primary responsibility will be to design, build, and implement models and solutions specifically tailored for Identity Verification products
- In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Product Managers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and other data professionals
- Owning end-to-end responsibility of building production-ready machine learning models from prototyping to implementing the solution in the pipelines and measuring its impact on production
- Taking complete ownership of performance metrics for our machine learning models
- Influencing and shaping our machine learning models, evaluating external vendors, and improving the instrumentation to generate valuable insights and creating new machine learning products and models
- Establishing key metrics, deriving data-driven insights, and conducting experiments to assess the overall product impact of our machine-learning solutions
- Working both independently and collaboratively with other engineers to define and deliver high-impact product features

Veriff started when the founder tried to access one of the worlds largest online marketplaces underage. He realised that, with some slight photo editing, he could easily break through their verification process. The company believes that identity is a valuable asset, and delivers real safety, protection and transparency to interactions online.
Veriff combines technical advancements in facial recognition, social ID, device ID and more into a SaaS model, that is easy to use and accessible to companies of all sizes. The service includes features such as real-time identity document verification, automated "Proof of Address" processes, and automated SSN Verification.
Veriff has continued to add to its offerings with new technologies and improvements. The considerable funds raised by the company in 2022 led to its Unicorn valuation and fuelled continued research and development. It enabled Veriff to hire more talent for its team. Partnerships with the likes of SonoSuite, a digital tech provider for the music industry, indicate Veriff's continued expansion of its products into new markets.
