Senior Staff Engineer, IonQ

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience -- untraditional backgrounds are welcome and encouraged!
• Proficient programming expertise in Go or Python
• 3 years of experience with incident or emergency response coordination
• Technical experience in systems administration, software engineering, digital forensics, security engineering and/or privacy engineering

• We are looking for a Senior Engineer - Infrastructure & Security. As a Senior Engineer - Infrastructure & Security, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to lead IonQ on its journey to build the world’s best quantum computers to solve the world’s most complex problems
• Help build out and maintain our on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure
• Help develop and implement our digital and physical security plans
• Analyze root causes, trends, and systematic issues
• Coordinate and drive incident response
• Improve the security and privacy of our cloud infrastructure and facilities
• Prepare teams across the company through exercises, training, and collaboration
• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams, from legal, to engineering, to finance, to operations, to supply chain
• In the first three months, you’ll be helping roll out the next iteration of our formal security program, while getting us ready for our SOC2 audit later this year
