Who you are
- Our fast-growing team of eleven are serious hustlers, hard workers and quick movers with exceptionally high standards at all NICE touchpoints. We’re interested in people who lead and don’t follow, are entrepreneurial, strategic thinkers, naturally very curious, get really stuck in, are commercial, data driven and are restless in wanting to help us shift an industry.
- The business is in exponential growth (+300% year on year) and we are rapidly expanding into retail, wholesale, travel, the on trade and third space. We are looking for a tenacious, ambitious, opportunity maker and taker, high energy, commercial and data led Marketing Director to totally own and shape the Marketing arm of our business.
- Have a proven track record for creating marketing strategies for omni channel businesses – with experience in trade, digital, e commerce and events.
- Have strong e commerce experience and can demonstrate this.
- Are great at managing people and running a team, you will be managing the marketing team, recruiting, supervising and mentoring members.
- Are commercial and very driven by data (obsessed by data), you’d be expected to analyse market trends, providing the foundation for your marketing strategies as well as continuously test and learn.
- Are obsessed by every touch point in the business and empowering the team to be the same.
What the job involves
- Totally own, shape, plan and execute the NICE marketing strategy (a good understanding of on trade, off trade, events and online is needed).
- Fully oversee the implementation of the NICE marketing strategy including setting and managing the annual budget.
- Lead new product launches.
- Provide killer tools and materials for the sales team to work effectively.
- Manage and measure campaign marketing costs.
- Identify and full manage our key agencies e.g. PR and Digital.
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Conduct market research studies.
- Utilise data for marketing campaigns; test and learn continuously, making everything you do be very driven by data.
- Fully manage a marketing team of two and grow it.

Our take
NICE is a canned wine brand delivering vegan wine through cans that are 100% recyclable. With a vision to build a brand that encourages people to drink wine in situations where they currently don't, NICE are entering a rapidly growing market that's expected to be worth more than $550 million by 2028.
NICE launched in 2019 and the brand is already a certified B-corp. It counts Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Chelsea FC, Wimbledon Tennis, Lord's Cricket, Edgbaston Cricket, Wagamama and Whistlestop among its clients.
Even though the company is an early-stage startup, NICE has already become the largest independent canned wine brand in the UK and is currently looking to expand into other sectors.
