Who you are

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social media and influencer marketing, preferably in a B2C environment
3-5 years Video editing and graphic design experience
Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media and influencer marketing campaigns
Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
Knowledge of social media and influencer marketing tools, including analytics, scheduling, and monitoring platforms
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights to improve campaign performance
Experience managing budgets and managing contract fulfillment. (This person will be the task master with the influencer contracts ensuring that all deliverables are met in a timely manner)

What the job involves

Help to implement effective social media and influencer marketing strategies that align with KontrolFreek’s KPI’s and target audience
Identify, build, and maintain relationships with influencers that align with the KontrolFreek brand and create authentic content
Assist in creating and executing influencer campaigns, including outreach, campaign management, and reporting
Help develop and manage content calendars and publishing schedules across social media channels
Monitor and analyze social media and influencer marketing campaigns' performance and provide insights and recommendations to improve results
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, platforms, and best practices in social media and influencer marketing
Track and manage social media and influencer marketing budgets
Meticulously tag, catalog, and archive social posts for easy access
Edit content to be leveraged across many different social media platforms – must have video and static image design experience
Proactively develop and manage aggressive social media KPIs with tracking tools that quickly identify what’s working and should be scaled versus what is not – tracking and reporting
Coordinate with cross-functional marketers to support the KontrolFreek social media business
WITHIN 1 MONTH YOU WILL:
Have familiarity with all internal and external community channels where we interact on. Have been introduced to and started conversations with our social media Team. Help manage all social communities
Assisted in creating and planning a social media content calendar
Create forward-facing content on the global KontrolFreek social media accounts including but not limited to TikTok, Threads, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
Have been introduced to and started working with our partners on community events (i.e. giveaways, sponsored streams, new product launches, etc.)
Have a solid grasp on company and your individual goals, objectives, and workflows (i.e. “how things work internally”)
WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOU WILL:
Be working regularly from the various KontrolFreek social accounts
Interacting with our internal marketing team(s) to on specific new product launches and community efforts
Managing internal expectations and marketing tactics around community initiatives for every product launch and influencer partnerships
Be working across teams (product, influencers and esports, etc.) on how we can integrate live streaming and community activations with their efforts
WITHIN 9 MONTHS YOU WILL:
Post & manage all KontrolFreek social channels multiple times a day
Work regularly with our internal teams on activating new initiatives
Own all relationships and comms with our community moderators (“Mod Team”)
Proactively engage and communicate with our customer support team on what our community is talking about from day-to-day, week-to-week, etc
Create detailed social channel reports via for leadership

Our take

International gaming gear manufacturers SteelSeries have been supplying the gaming community with accessories, peripherals, and software since 2001. Part of its ethos is reinvesting in the community, hosting gaming tournaments and promoting teams and players - but this mainly serves to bolster its substantial sector reputation, which makes it a key player in the market alongside industry giants like Nintendo, Nvidia, and Logitech.

SteelSeries was acquired in late 2021 by the Danish headset and hearing aid maker GN Store Nord, in a deal worth over £1 billion, which has helped fund major research and development on its products. The company has also made acquisitions, with high-end gaming product manufacturers KontrolFreek and Nahimic acquired in the same year, which will further expand the company’s scope and reputation for quality products.

This is part of a broader spate of acquisitions that have reshaped the gaming industry over the past couple of years, a period during which gaming revenue sharply increased. The global market is expected to pass $15 billion by 2026, and SteelSeries look set to score a substantial slice of this.
