Who you are
- 8+ years of Product Management experience
- A track record of building exceptional products that delight your users and produce clear business impact
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects affecting many functions, including product, engineering, finance, compliance, and support. Ability to direct major cross-functional initiatives with effective prioritisation and influence
- Experience collecting both internal and external customer feedback and requests, empathising with their challenges and opportunities, and prioritising roadmaps to optimise results
- Passion for cryptocurrency, financial markets, and the Coinbase mission
- Native German speaker and fluent in English
Desirable
- Experience with general management, market launcher, or strategy and operations roles in high-growth start-ups, tech, finance
- Experience working in the Crypto industry (expertise not a prerequisite but willingness to learn and enthusiasm essential)
What the job involves
- As the Senior Product Manager for Coinbase in Germany, you will take the helm of our product and engineering team in the local market
- Your primary responsibilities will involve spearheading growth initiatives and fine-tuning the Coinbase experience for German consumers, ensuring a tailored product-market fit.
- This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and customer support
- Your main emphasis will be on boosting revenue and fostering user growth
- Lead a product and development team focused on conceiving, building, and launching user-focused, high-quality products that connect and grow the crypto economy
- Work closely with fellow engineering, design, and business leadership to define our product vision and strategy across your product areas, and deliver tangible business outcomes
- Execute efficiently in a fast-paced, fluid start-up environment where change is constant and creativity is a must
- Write technical product requirement documents, manage technical backlogs, and effectively prioritise new features vs. tech debt. Work with a full-stack engineering team to build world-class internal products that eliminate workflow friction, maximise output, and improve employee experience

Coinbase allows its users to create their own crypto wallets and start buying or selling cryptocurrencies by connecting with their bank accounts. It also provides a series of merchant payment processing systems and tools that support transactions with many popular websites.
Coinbase has recently made a big push to broaden its services away from consumers and they want to cater services from institutional investors.
Coinbase currently offers one of the largest selection of cryptocurrency assets - over 10,000 but does not allow trading on all of them. The company wisely keeps such offerings to the most stable assets however, the list is always expanding. Coinbase see a much wider adoption of cryptocurrency and tokens in the future, and plan to expand potentially to millions in the future. It speaks volumes to Coinbase's goals of wider global adoption that former UK Finance Minister George Osborne is now an Advisor at the company.
Coinbase's lofty ambitions paid off in it being the first crypto listing on the NASDAQ. The company has weathered several bull and bear runs in the cryptocurrency industry through diversification of its offerings, including wallet-as-a-service technology for crypto platforms, and has acquired healthy coffers of cryptocurrency assets. The aim is to eventually operate independently of the volatility surrounding cryptocurrencies.
