- Strong proficiency in SQL, with a preference for Databricks experience

What the job involves
- As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Kard, you will be the go-to expert for turning data into impactful business intelligence tools and visualizations
- You'll leverage your strong SQL, dbt, and visualization skills to build dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions that empower our go-to-market teams and external merchant partners to make data-driven decisions
- You'll spend most of your time on BI work—designing intuitive visualizations and translating complex data into clear, actionable insights—while collaboratively maintaining and growing an existing foundation of well-structured, reusable data models
- Data Infrastructure and Analytics Engineering: Build and maintain robust data models using dbt, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility across the organization through automated processes and improved data quality checks
- Business Intelligence and Reporting: Design and migrate dashboards and reports to modern BI tools like Count, translating complex data requirements into clear visualizations that support merchant and issuer success
- Merchant and Issuer Analytics: Develop analytical frameworks for merchant segmentation, performance metrics, and campaign measurement, providing insights that drive strategic decisions and optimize partner relationships
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, account management, and product teams to understand data needs, scope technical solutions, and deliver analytics that directly support revenue growth and operational efficiency
- Technical Leadership and Process Improvement: Lead pitch development and technical investigations, identifying opportunities to improve data workflows, reduce costs, and enhance the scalability of analytics infrastructure
Our take
Credit card rewards often play a vital role in attracting new customers to a particular card over its competitors. But for newer fintech companies, setting up an attractive rewards program can be burdensome, requiring the issuer to negotiate with individual retail partners and manage the complexities of integration on a case-by-case basis.
Kard's platform enables businesses to create their own loyalty and rewards programs that are tailored to their specific needs and goals. Unlike other rewards platforms, Kard enables issuers to build unique rewards and loyalty experiences, making it easy for new issuers to mix and match from Kard's offerings and integrate those rewards into their own interface.
Kard is the first rewards platform that provides services to the entire spectrum of card issuers, and due to its innovative approach to the market, it has seen steady growth since its launch in 2020. Alongside its growth, Kard has secured funding from several investment organisations, including Trinity Capital in 2025. It plans to use this funding to accelerate hiring efforts and expand into new markets.
