What the job involves

As a Senior Product Manager, 401(k) you will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for existing and future product offerings, analyzing data and customer feedback, and communicating the product vision and roadmap to cross functional stakeholders
Additionally, you will work closely with the development and design teams to prioritize and manage the backlog, and ensure the team is delivering high-quality, user-centered products that meet business goals and customer needs
Establish the product vision and strategy for your product area
Engage with cross-functional teams to comprehend user and business requirements, transforming them into actionable and impactful roadmaps that empower developers to execute confidently
Set KPIs and measurement baselines to ensure your product is moving in the right direction for user and business health
Facilitate decision-making across cross-functional teams while approaching opportunities with an emphasis on scalable growth
Manage the full lifecycle of your product from ideation to launching

Our take

When businesses offer a 401(K) plan, a message is sent to employees and potential employees that their future is valued by their employer. However, small businesses are often left behind, being charged extortionate fees or ignored by 401(K) providers altogether, leaving many American families with no retirement savings and the potential of retiring into poverty.

Guideline spotted this oversight as an opportunity to jump in and offer small businesses an affordable 401(K). It generates income by charging each business a flat monthly fee per participant.

The company now manages retirement plans for hundreds of thousands of people in over 40,000 companies and has accumulated over $8 billion in assets under management. Benefits providers Intuit, Gusto, and Square all use Guideline as their 401(K) partners.
