Role
Who you are
- Deep expertise in building out data integrations, attribution models, CDPs, MAPs, analytic platforms, and other MarTech products
- Experience handling sensitive or sophisticated data with deep understanding of the privacy landscape

What the job involves
- As a Staff Product Manager you will be responsible for crafting a product roadmap that will support marketing channels across 80M+ active buyers and 7M+ sellers
- You’ll improve our technology stack and build tools to transform Etsy's customer experience
- As the marketing technology landscape evolves, we need to partner with our marketers and over 13 external vendors to remain competitive and efficient
- This is a full-time position reporting to the Group Product Manager
- Own the creation of a well-supported product strategy to optimize platforms that support Marketing’s Growth channels, including ATL, CRM, and Performance Marketing
- Prioritize your roadmap consistently based on impact, risk, and urgency and communicate commitments to your partners
- Extracting insights from a meeting with our ad agency and Google about new reporting needs
- Partner closely with Marketing Leads and key partners to define a compelling long-term vision for our customer data
- Be responsible for the performance (and measurement) of the team’s product experiences, including impact to the business
- Diving deep to pressure test an ROI model for a new investment

Our take
Created as an alternative to more corporate eCommerce sites, Etsy is a peer-to-peer (P2P) website where users buy and sell handmade crafts, vintage items, art and photography. The online marketplace works similarly to Amazon and eBay, only with an emphasis on unique items rather than mass-produced merchandise.
Since its IPO in 2015, it has managed to hold its own in an increasingly competitive eCommerce industry, including from Amazon's handmade section that launched in 2015. Further, by providing sellers with ownership over pricing and branding, the site is attractive for those wanting to set up a business on an established platform.
However, the seller-side of Etsy is not without problems. A hike in transaction fees and the introduction of mandatory marketing fees for artists with high turnovers created significant discontent amongst sellers. Despite this, Etsy continues to connect artists and consumers, attracting shoppers with its message of extraordinary, handmade and affordable products.
