Role
Who you are
- You must also be keen to learn both UK and US accounting principles and have a strong proficiency in Excel
- Started either ACCA or CIMA qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months+ of experience in a similar role
- Strong procifiency in Excel (Pivot tables, V-lookups & Index/Match)
- Experience in Xero or similar software
Desirable
- Experience in a startup, SaaS environment
- Degree in Accounting/Finance
- Experience within a high-growth business
- Experience working across US and UK entities
What the job involves
- This person will take initiative to drive improvements among the Finance team and assure that our financial operations are optimized for efficiency and accuracy
- You balance the juggle day to day tasks with ad-hoc projects while working with tight deadlines, and maintain the highest level of accuracy
- The Junior Accountant will need to prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with various stakeholders
- Responsible for reconciliation of bank accounts
- Manage the Accounts Payable and Receivables process across our 2 entities
- Keep main ledgers & internal reporting up to date and accurate
- Set up payment runs for approval
- Assist with bi-monthly payroll for US and UK employees
- Aid in month-end reconciliations and help drive improvements to increase efficiency
- Assist in month end close of consolidated accounts
- VAT Return preparation
- Assisting with departmental reports
