We are a software and technology company, so your ability to powerfully use all common commercial platforms is essential for your and SewerAI’s success. What that looks like is, you know how to show up powerfully for virtual meetings on a variety of platforms (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Skype, GoToMeeting), you can navigate through our cloud platform on training demos while easily explaining what you are doing and why, and you can use a variety of file sharing platforms to accommodate customer needs. You are communicative and responsive on internal communication channels
You have the ability to interface comfortably and effectively with people in a wide range of demographics: civil engineers, procurement administrators, public works managers/directors, CCTV field operators, jet-vac operators, superintendents, project managers, GIS/IT technologists, and C-Suite executives
Major Plus - Demonstrated experience or background of study and understanding in wastewater infrastructure, sewer collection system maintenance and rehabilitation, trenchless technologies, or any knowledge or experience related to sewer condition assessment and inspection equipment and methods.
This position is ~80% remote and could involve some travel, preference is for you to be located within the US. Regarding remote work, at least 8 hours per day minimum (Monday-Friday) is expected, and those exact hours could be up to you, but should fall between 6am-6pm (your local time) and may mirror normal business hours of the customers you support. Due to uncertainties related to the pandemic, estimating potential total future travel time relative to current (remote-only) office work is difficult, but the position could entail up to 20% travel, and 0-5% travel is the current circumstance

What the job involves

As a Customer Success Manager (CSM) the role you play here is essential to the long term success of our company, because your primary accountability is assuring the success of all of SewerAI’s customers in utilizing and implementing our technologies
You will be the main point of contact between SewerAI and our customers, responsible for up to 20 separate accounts
Your role begins during the onboarding of a new customer, and you will ongoingly support them by responding to technical needs and questions
You’ll provide customers with training and education, updating them about new features, you’ll take an Account Based Marketing approach to ensure customers are leveraging all value points in the SewerAI offering
You’ll also capture and report customer feedback, working with SewerAI’s Product team on developing and improving our solutions, and you’ll manage receivables (AR) from your accounts

Keeping wastewater and stormwater infrastructure in good condition is a task most of us overlook - until there’s a fault. Drain and sewers are things a city can’t really afford to get wrong, but with maintenance costing up to tens of billions of dollars for US cities, it’s increasingly looking like some places can’t afford to get it right either. Luckily, tech advancements like computer vision and artificial intelligence are making their way into sewer management. SewerAI is one of the startups helping overhaul the sector.

SewerAI help improve the accuracy, efficiency, and efficacy of sewer and drain condition assessments. Their product selection is exciting and growing, and includes a web-based infrastructure management platform, automatic condition-detecting, and inspection & stream/review capabilities, many of which leverage computer vision and artificial intelligence to cut down on time and inaccuracies. This top-tier technical innovation is likely to keep them in high demand, and relatively free from would-be competitors.

Half of the US wastewater infrastructure is beyond its useful life, creating major sinkholes and sewage leakages, and it’s expected to become a multi-trillion dollar problem. So it’s a federal problem of the highest urgency, and SewerAI is finally putting a solution in proper reach.
