HOMER's mission is to give kids the best start to their learning journey during the window of opportunity, before the age of 6, where 85% of brain development takes place.
Desirable
Tablets and smartphones are increasingly used by children on a day-to-day basis, making them excellent platforms for early education. However, educational apps often have simple curriculums and generally follow a ‘one-size-fits-all approach.
HOMER is an early learning program for kids. Through a learning program personalized to their age, interests, and level, HOMER helps kids build skills for school and life. The startup provides a focus on subject areas outside of typical school curriculums, such as content on critical thinking, creativity, and socio-emotional learning.
The company has raised over $50 million in funding from the likes of LEGO and Sesame Workshop. Whilst curriculums have so far been successful in offering literacy education, HOMER aims to use the funding to expand and deliver curriculums for other subject areas.
