- As Vice President of Sales at Defense Unicorns, you will be a leader of crucial importance, driving the next phase of our company’s growth journey
- This strategic position requires an experienced executive who will build, cultivate, and lead a world-class defense tech sales organization
- Possessing deep experience in support of the Department of Defense, you will effectively craft and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with mission-hero needs

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies aligned with company objectives and core values
- Successfully capitalize on your robust network within the industry and demonstrated success selling to the Department of Defense
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing sales organization focused on the defense technology sector
- Collaborate with Product, Delivery, and Marketing teams to refine value propositions and GTM positioning
- Create and implement repeatable sales processes that drive predictable revenue growth
- Oversee pipeline management and deliver accurate, data driven forecasting of projected growth
- Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent in the defense technology sector
- Provide mentorship and leadership while maintaining a player-coach approach

Our take
Military defence technology is having to adapt at a quickening pace. However, innovations in the tech sector, outdated technology, varied compute environments and complex security and compliance issues create lags in new defence technology. Defense Unicorns is an open-source tech developer aiming to minimise this lag.
Founded by former Department of Defense software engineers, Defense Unicorns uses AI and innovative software to create military technology for various uses and combat landscapes. The company is particularly focused on tech that can be used in “air-gapped” areas - those that are disconnected from the internet.
In terms of the company's future position in the market, it's notable that the US annual defence budget specifically for IT and cyber has increased to just under $59 billion in 2024. This funding growth exemplifies a rapidly changing combat landscape set against an unpredictable global backdrop, one in which Defense Unicorns has the chance to be an important player.
