Role
Who you are
- 3+ years’ work experience as an events manager or similar role
- Strong organizational skills for timelines of events, SOW for vendors, and deadlines for contracted services
- Strong critical thinking and ability to reprioritize the needs of the business as they relate to events, product launches around events, and marketing needs
- Strong ability to work proactively and independently as tasks are given and scope of work expands
- Strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify, flag, and in some cases solve issues within the scope of the role
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed; as well as participate in overnight travel for events
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, focusing on generating business results
- Ability to work with global teams across multiple cultures
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple activities at the same time
- Gamer and gaming knowledge is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or equivalent work experience
What the job involves
- The Razer events manager is responsible for developing and executing in-person and virtual events including CES and PAX
- Manage event operations and deadlines with timely follow-up of all logistics, vendors, partners, press, and internal team schedules
- Research locations, book event venues, and secure vendors based on approved planning parameters
- Manage internal team members and external partners to prepare event materials and marketing assets
- Maintenance of the US marketing team calendar of events, sponsorship/marketing opportunities, and sales promotions. Create and distribute event briefs which include equipment lists, run of show, staffing schedules, etc
- Manage and organize events inventory and equipment storage
- Coordinate and process event badge registrations; and assist distribution to staff and partners
- Research flights, hotels, and travel needs, requesting formal approvals as pertains to budgets
- Work with the marketing and design team to create collateral materials including giveaways and hand-outs
- Create internal payment requests and follow up with payment disbursements to vendors and partners
- Conduct post-mortem event surveys, gathering feedback from attendees and sending it to the Global teams
- Perform other related duties as assigned
