Senior Systems Test Engineer, Lightship

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 5 years experience testing software/firmware
• Proven experience in embedded systems test infrastructure
• Proficiency coding in Python
• Experience with test automation and continuous integration
• In-depth knowledge of CAN bus
• Experience working on safety-critical systems
• Self-directed and motivated with the ability to work effectively in uncertain situations

• As a Senior Systems Test Engineer, you will design and implement automated test infrastructure to validate our embedded software and hardware with a focus on our unique propulsion system
• To succeed, you will develop a strong understanding of how our systems work and how to break them to ensure a high bar of quality for our embedded software systems
• Design and implement Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) automated test infrastructure for our embedded systems
• Work closely with software and system owners to develop deep understanding of how our systems work
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop testing coverage requirements
• Author and execute test plans to ensure our embedded systems meet functional and safety requirements
• Root cause test failures and clearly document bugs for tracking purposes
• Support development testing in the lab and in the field
