Who you are

5-8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience at a high-growth tech company, with early-stage start-up experience preferred
Proven ability to identify, engage, and close passive candidates for highly technical roles
Excellent written communication for personalized outreach and candidate engagement
Experience with modern ATS systems (we use Ashby) and workflows

What the job involves

We’re looking for our first technical recruiter to help us scale Hedra’s world-class engineering and research teams.
In this role, you’ll work closely with leadership to identify, attract, and hire exceptional software engineers, machine learning engineers, and research scientists who can contribute to Hedra's product vision and roadmap
Own and drive full-cycle recruiting across research and engineering roles, from pipeline generation to close
Implement multi-channel sourcing strategies to identify and engage top talent in distributed systems, AI/ML research, and full-stack engineering
Work with existing RPO/recruiting partners to maintain a healthy, high-quality top of funnel
Build and nurture talent pools for both near-term hires and long-term team growth
Foster a positive candidate experience by ensuring timely communication and engagement
Develop compelling outreach messaging that captures Hedra’s mission and excites candidates about hard, meaningful problems

Our take

The relationship between machine learning and online content has grown closer in recent years, and Hedra is a video content platform that is pushing this symbiosis into new territory. Describing itself as a video foundation mode company, Hedra is building an online creation studio that helps users generate dialogue, audio and video from words.

As a digital presence automation tool, Hedra is moving beyond the likes of DallE and generative AI video content into more nuanced territory. Its most recent product is Character1, a video foundation model for longer-form video generation focusing on customizable AI-generated video characters.

Since Character1’s release in June 2024, more than 1.6 million videos have been generated via the platform, demonstrating the need for its August seed funding round. The $10 million investment will be channelled into developing new technology like a multimodal studio and workflow tool to complement its foundation model.
