Who you are
- 15 years of experience spanning both B2B and DTC marketing with proven success in both
- Have led marketing at a high-growth startup (ideally in digital health or healthcare tech) and know how to scale
- Experience working side-by-side with Sales to align marketing initiatives to pipeline and revenue goals
- You’re equally comfortable setting vision and getting into the weeds to execute
- You’re an effective communicator, creative thinker, and data-driven decision-maker
- You thrive in ambiguity and pace—biasing for action, clarity, and learning
- You’ve been a tremendous partner to Sales and GTM functions
- You care deeply about reimagining healthcare for the better
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a full-stack, strategic, and entrepreneurial VP of Marketing to lead Counsel’s marketing efforts across both enterprise (B2B) and consumer (DTC) audiences
- You’ll be responsible for scaling and building out our marketing function—including across strategy, team, and execution—and shaping the way the world comes to understand and trust AI-powered care
- This is a rare opportunity to define a new category of care. You’ll help build a brand people believe in and a movement they want to join. And you’ll work super hard with a team of similarly hard workers in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
- This role reports directly to the CEO and will partner closely with Sales, Product, and Clinical teams to drive awareness, demand, and engagement
- Lead Counsel’s end-to-end marketing strategy, from brand to performance, across both B2B and DTC
- Build, manage, and inspire a best-in-class, high-performing marketing team starting lean and scaling as we grow
- Brand & Positioning: Define and evolve an iconic, trusted brand that creates a new category
- Growth & Performance: Paid acquisition, SEO, analytics, CRO/other optimization
- LCM & CRM: Manage, engaged, and convert leads across enterprise and consumer funnels
- Content Marketing: Blogs, whitepapers, webinars, social, video, case studies, thought leadership, the whole shebang
- Product Marketing: Own messaging, positioning, and GTM for new features, launches, and products
- Comms & PR: Develop our earned and owned media presence on a mega scale
- Align tightly with Sales to drive qualified pipeline, accelerate deal cycles, and deliver measurable business outcomes, architecting and executing multi-touch B2B campaigns targeting health plans, health systems, and employers
- Build and scale our DTC acquisition and retention playbook, including across paid and organic channels
- Be a culture-setter and cross-functional leader, helping shape how Marketing collaborates company-wide
