Role
Who you are
- You have 7+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer for web applications
- You have developed and implemented strategic QA disciplines for SaaS companies
- In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices, including both manual and automated testing
- Strong understanding of software development processes, such as Agile or Scrum, and experience working in a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environment
- You have experience with JavaScript ES6, HTML and CSS
- You have an understanding of the Document Object Model (DOM)
- You have experience with BrowserStack, TestRTC, WebRTC and other web application E2E testing framework
- You have experience with API and load automation testing
- You have experience with Git or other source control
- You thrive in a team setting and are excited to collaborate closely with Product, Design and Engineering
- Expertise in various types of testing, such as functional, performance, security, and usability testing
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and identify appropriate solutions
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- A commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with industry trends and developments
- You have extremely high standards for quality and take initiative to achieve them
- Knowledge of audio/video streaming technologies
- Knowledge of WebRTC application development and frameworks
- Previous team leadership experience
What the job involves
- Accountable for the overall quality of Scoot’s platform
- Design and implement an end-to-end automation testing framework for Scoot’s platform
- Provide strategic guidance for all aspects of enterprise software testing
- Architect the Test Methodology, create the Quality KPI and take actions to drive the teams to deliver perfect quality enterprise products
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to create and execute automated test plans for new and existing features that cover all requirements and anticipate engineering delivery
- Work with DevOps to integrate automated test suites into our CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions and maintain 80% automated test coverage
- Implement automated WebRTC testing to ensure reliability and quality of Scoot video and audio functionality across all supported platforms and on all supported devices
- Track testing progress and report quality metrics to stakeholders
- Proactively pinpoint opportunities to improve quality and devise solutions to achieve them
- Work closely with product management, engineering stakeholders and empower tech teams to deliver outstanding and impactful results. Proactively address and solve cross-team issues, foster teamwork and collaborations
