Who you are
- You likely have a minimum of 8 years of experience scaling a demand generation function at a B2B SaaS company, though the experience isn’t always linear!
- Digital Advertising: Proficiency in managing campaigns on Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other platforms
- SEO and SEM: Understanding search engine optimization and paid search to increase online visibility
- Email Marketing: Crafting and optimizing automated nurturing campaigns to drive engagement and conversions
- PLG > PLS: General understanding of how to build programs that convert self-serve business users to contracted teams accounts
- KPIs Mastery: You know how to define, measure, and manage sales funnel metrics and key performance indicators (e.g., CAC, MQL to SQL conversion rates, pipeline velocity)
- Tools Proficiency: Familiarity with platforms like Google Analytics, Tableau, Looker, and Excel for reporting and insights
- A/B Testing: Experiment with content, channels, and messaging to maximize ROI
- Content Strategy: Ability to develop high-impact content like eBooks, case studies, webinars, and white papers
- Campaign Execution: Hands-on experience designing and launching multi-channel campaigns that align with buyer journeys

What the job involves
- As a Senior Manager, Demand Generation, you will help define and execute on our demand generation strategy as we move up market
- You will experiment with new channels and programs to optimize lead generation and conversion, and will partner with sales to build playbooks and drive pipeline
- Outcome #1: Build our multi-channel lead strategy to 5x MQLs over the next 18 months
- Identify the most effective channels (e.g., paid media, organic, ABM, partnerships) for reaching core ICP
- Design and execute campaigns to generate Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and Marketing Sourced Opportunities and drive them down the funnel
- Continuously analyze and optimize the marketing funnel to improve conversion rates across stages (MQL to SQL, SQL to opportunities, oppty to closed won)
- Create targeted programs to engage and convert high-value accounts and high-value self-serve users
- Manage the demand generation budget to maximize ROI, balancing short-term wins with long-term growth investments
- Optimize spend across channels, campaigns, and regions
- Outcome #2: Build and scale our content engine to drive conversion optimization over the next 18 months
- Maximize Product-Led Growth impact, in partnership with Product: Onboarding, Referrals, Virality
- In-product lead generation
- Drive retention by nurturing the full customer and user lifecycles
- Outcome #3: Build team of high-performing
- Manage and mentor a team of external marketers to execute demand generation strategies effectively
- Work alongside peer marketing leadership to drive alignment on growth strategy and execution
- Work closely with sales teams to align on goals, share insights, and optimize lead handoff processes
- Foster a high-performance, experimentation-friendly environment that supports rapid iteration and growth
- Prioritize budget and resources for maximum impact on demand generation efforts
Our take
We spend a staggering upwards of 3 hours a day buried in our emails. The majority of us are used to legacy giants like Gmail or even Hotmail. Superhuman recognizes that our email UX could just be a lot more beautiful and efficient, and have integrated smart features like “unsend” so we never have to suffer the embarrassment of another typo.
Although standing out in a market of free services (they charge a $30 per month fee), Superhuman commanded a waiting list of over 250,000 during its beta testing phase.
With more than $100 million in overall funding from firms like Andreessen Horowitz and First Round Capital, Superhuman is setting trends in emerging enterprise software with both its design and go-to-market strategy. They’ve managed to steal an audience from the big players by giving users something beautiful and more streamlined to work with. Its 2024-released feature is a testament to this, which generates instant reply suggestions for emails that are smart, context-aware and efficient.
