Role
Who you are
- You hold a Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or similar field
- You have over 6 years of experience in quality assurance with a strong understanding of testing across platforms (mobile, web, API)
- You have hands-on experience with modern tools and frameworks for test automation, such as Playwright, using Java or JavaScript — preferably both
- You have profound experience in creating test plans and are familiar with bug tracking and test management tools like Jira and qTest
- You have strong knowledge of UI automation frameworks on mobile, such as XCUITest or Kaspresso
- You have a track record of improving efficiency, particularly through automation and enhanced testing strategies
- You have excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- It’s a bonus if have hands-on experience working with GCP and are comfortable setting up CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab
What the job involves
- As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will support one of our product teams in delivering high-quality products while balancing business requirements and changing priorities
- Quality Engineers at EVBox play a critical role in ensuring that the solutions developed and maintained by our teams meet defined quality standards
- They are responsible for creating and executing test plans, performing both manual (as little as possible) and automated testing, and triaging incoming issues
- Additionally, they act as a quality guardian, helping teams define processes that assure the highest quality of created products
- Test mobile applications, UI, and APIs that interface with backend systems, collaborating with engineering and product teams to define test plans and identify opportunities for further automation
- Contribute to the quality strategy based on end-user experience, business goals, and a technical understanding of our products
- Identify needs for quality improvements and work with the QA guild to implement them, as well as establish and advocate for best practices across the organization
- Evaluate test coverage across platforms and test types (unit, integration, end-to-end, regression, etc.), and identify the highest impact opportunities for improving coverage
- Contribute to the Quality Assurance practice at EVBox through training, exploration of new technologies, interviewing, onboarding, and mentoring colleagues
