Role
Who you are
- We're looking for a Business Development Representative with experience or passion for selling software
- You should have a passion for Artificial Intelligence / Natural Language Processing and helping companies think about automation of legacy processes
- Must be self-motivated, persistent, and able to work independently
- You're fearless to start conversations, a captive storyteller, aren't afraid to ask hard questions, and can juggle many opportunities while always looking for new ones
- Strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent listening skills
- You're comfortable carrying a quota and operating in collaboration with others, while taking accountability for your results
What the job involves
- In your first 30 days:
- You'll work closely with the Account Executive to get up to speed on our current sales process, who our target market is, and our automation tools
- You'll have cold-outreach enablement: Email, LinkedIn
- By the end of your first month, you'll comprehend what we sell, how we sell and the tools we use
- You'll have built out a light plan around your territory and how you're going to get after it
- In your first 60 days:
- You'll immerse yourself in prospecting (responding to inbounds, proactively identifying opportunities, and booking meetings with prospective customers)
- You'll provide your AE with daily territory updates + weekly goal progress reports
- You'll be actively on the hunt for new opportunities through your own outbound motion, by working on a strategy to build a repeatable motion
- By 90 days:
- You'll be booking as many meetings as possible with the assistance of your Account Executive, proactively identifying opportunities, responding to inbound leads, and helping the team better position themselves and the product to prospective customers
- You'll be able to optimize your list of prospects and customers to ensure you are reaching the maximum number of people possible
- You'll recommend operational changes that can make the sales team more productive and achieve the best results
