What the job involves

As an SDR Caller at Apollo, you will play a crucial role in our outbound sales strategy
Your primary responsibility will be to engage prospects over the phone, with the goal of setting appointments that lead to successful sales outcomes
This role is highly specialized, focusing exclusively on phone outreach to maximize appointment setting efficiency
Outbound Calling: Make an average of 100 outbound dials per day per client, managing three clients simultaneously
Appointment Setting: Secure at least 13 appointments per month per client, with a focus on achieving a 70% hold rate for booked appointments
Call Strategy Optimization: Work to increase the number of connected calls beyond a 6% connect rate by adjusting call times and targeting strategies
Conversion Efficiency: Achieve a conversion rate of over 10% from connected calls to appointments booked
Training and Development: Complete all assigned Apollo Dialer training modules within the first month and participate in at least two monthly coaching sessions with the Sales Development Manager

A Day in the Life:
Morning Routine: Start your day by reviewing notes and statistics from the previous day, planning your call strategy, and engaging with your team via Slack
Calling Sessions: Dedicate focused time blocks to making calls, logging call statistics, and refining your approach based on real-time feedback
Team Collaboration: Participate in daily meetings with fellow callers and managers to discuss strategies, share insights, and motivate each other
End of Day: Log daily statistics, review call outcomes, and prepare for the next day’s activities

Apollo's sales intelligence and engagement platform integrates with companies’ existing internal tools, such as LinkedIn, Salesforce and Hubspot, to increase and optimize sales and marketing leads. Rather than simply employing a volume-heavy approach to leads, Apollo’s software allows users to focus on more convertible prospects, while automating task management and workflow.

The company launched in 2015 and grew steadily in its early years, but the period since 2021 has seen it enter a rapid scale up. Now its customer base includes the likes of Autodesk, Stripe, Docusign and Yelp.

Apollo now intends to keep the upward momentum going, having secured major funding in mid-2023 and is also investing heavily in India as its R&D center, where there’s a burgeoning pool of tech talent. In early 2023, Apollo reported record revenue numbers and appointed a new CPO, indicating a solidification of these aims.
