Who you are
- Strong academic background in engineering, finance, business or similar
- 5+ years of experience in Operations, Finance, Consulting or equivalent
- Fluency in French, proficiency in English
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail, root cause analysis, and data interpretation
- Deeply customer-centric, always striving to enhance the Upway experience
- Comfort with working in a fast-paced and changing environment

What the job involves
- Upway is hiring its Regional Operations Manager among its Operations team in France (& Southern Europe)
- The Operations team’s role is to create the largest and highest-quality e-bike offering for Upway shoppers, by sourcing the best e-bikes, refurbishing them and delivering them to their new owner in a seamless customer experience
- The Regional Operations Manager owns and continuously improve key processes at the core of Upway’s business
- Their mission is to scale operations at lightning speed to fuel our growth, while improving cost efficiency and meeting our very high quality standards
- They will oversee a wide range of customer-facing operations, from Logistics to Customer Support, and will work closely with the UpCenter Operations team (particularly the UpCenter lead) to identify and implement improvements
- Own key parts of Upway France Operations value chain, including Logistics and Customer Support
- Unlock growth by making our processes future-proof thanks to a culture of continuous learning and innovation
- Design, implement and improve processes to optimize customer experience and financial efficiency
- Ensure we deliver on our very high Quality standards, and analyze customer feedback to keep raising the bar
- Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and partners
- Set up tools and dashboards to get an accurate view on Upway France Operations
- Work closely with the France UpCenter Operations team, as well as other internal stakeholders
Our take
Upway is a second-hand marketplace for electric bicycles, offering a more affordable alternative to new models. The company purchases e-bikes from both private sellers and e-bike companies, refurbishing them and reselling at a discount, a model that appeals to those looking for quality e-bikes at a lower cost.
The electric bike market in Europe is booming and expected to double in value over the next decade. Upway capitalises on this growth by addressing consumer concerns about the quality of second-hand bikes. Through its refurbishment process, it ensures customers can confidently purchase pre-owned bikes, reducing both costs and environmental impact.
In addition to its expansion into key European markets, Upway has recently formed a strategic partnership with Rad Power Bikes. Through this collaboration, customers of Rad's US retail locations can trade in their old e-bikes for discounts on new models, supporting a circular economy. Paired with its $60 million funding round in 2025, Upway is consolidating its position as a leader in sustainable mobility.
