Role
Who you are
- Growth-stage finance experience: 10+ years in fast-paced, strategic finance roles (ideally in B2B SaaS or tech scale-ups). You’ve built teams that own FP&A, budgeting, cashflow, internal controls, and investor reporting end-to-end and have experience scaling finance functions during a Series B–D stage
- FinanceOps Expertise: You’ve run AP/AR, payroll, and worked closely with tax advisors. You’re experienced with tools like Xero, Pleo, and know how to build or improve finance systems for scale
- Analytical and structured: Strong Excel/Sheets skills, comfortable with BI tools, and obsessive about accuracy and clarity. You bring structure, meet deadlines, and drive better decisions through data
- Strategic yet hands-on: You think big-picture but aren’t afraid to get into the weeds, especially in the early months. You can move from board-level forecasting to fixing a broken invoice flow in a heartbeat
- Bias for action: You move fast, iterate, and prioritise progress over perfection — without sacrificing quality

What the job involves
- We’re now looking for our first VP of Finance to join the Operations Team and help power our next chapter of growth - from international expansion to preparing for Series B
- You’ll work directly with our CEO to move finance in-house, level up visibility, and bring the tools and clarity needed to scale with confidence. It’s a hands-on role that balances day-to-day financial operations with high-impact strategic projects
- Please note, this role was recently levelled up from a Head of Finance role, and it can be based in Ireland or the UK
- Own strategic finance and partner cross-functionally: Own monthly forecasting, financial reporting, board reporting and decision-making alongside SLT leads
- Own core finance operations: Lead AP, AR, payroll (ROI & UK), cashflow, internal reporting, and tax (with advisors)
- Build financial discipline: Link budgets and spend to clear ROI; implement budget vs actuals tracking and performance reviews
- Scale systems and processes: Design scalable workflows and implement the right tech stack (e.g. Xero, Pleo, forecasting tools)
- Improve financial visibility: Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable reporting for the CEO, SLT, and investors
- Strengthen compliance & controls: Proactively manage planning, tax, and compliance; audit existing vendor/tax setups

Our take
Nory’s AI and automation software allows restaurants to more easily take control of common pain points like inventory, staffing, and marketing, all on one platform. With thin margins, stretched teams and high levels of waste, Nory was founded by a seasoned restaurant founder and scaler, who knows all too well how juggling "market-leading" systems can become a headache for restaurant managers. Indeed, he even built an early version of Nory for his own restaurant.
What makes Nory a particularly interesting prospect is the value that it can offer multi-site restaurants or chains, given its ability to collect data on each location at once. It melds real-time data with AI predictive analytics so that operators can regain control of their profit. It’s this certainty of purpose and value that’s helped Nory get off to a flying start, securing a rapidly growing customer base including Stonegate Pubs, Dr Juice and Viva Italia.
Having raised a significant amount of capital, most recently in a May 2025 Series B round, Nory has grown its team and expanded from Ireland and the UK into Spain as well. It's using its funding to expand into the US, hire data scientists and accelerate its product development. As the hospitality industry struggles with high costs and low margins, Nory's solution will be increasingly essential for restaurants seeking to optimise their operations and turn a profit.
