Who you are

Background working in security engineering organizations, protecting AWS and Kubernetes environments
History of implementing security best practices across cloud and container stacks
Run PoC's for potential new security controls and determine their effectiveness
Experience working with Infrastructure teams to develop security into DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code processes
Broad familiarity with security operations topics that affect infrastructure, including identity and access, network, vulnerability, and change management
Familiarity with security frameworks and risk-based security programs
Experience building tooling around security controls and investigations
Knowledge of Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Chef and/or other configuration management tools
Familiarity with Python, Go and/or other scripting/coding languages
Experience with the risks associated with financial technology companies

What the job involves

Securing cloud infrastructure and container stacks and ensuring their safe usage for development environments
Building automation for detecting and responding to security events
Working with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies and engineering teams to build and implement low-to-negative friction security controls
Investigating solutions to new cloud service and container use cases and product risks
Evaluating technologies for improving security defenses
Familiarity with working with APIs and coding to integrate data from different security controls across cloud-native and third-party tools

Plaid builds infrastructure that allows consumers to interact with their bank account on the web through a number of third-party applications, like Venmo, Robinhood, Coinbase, Acorns and LendingClub.

Plaid has integrated with over 12,000 financial institutions in the US, Canada, the UK and Europe. And about a quarter of people living in North America with bank accounts have linked with Plaid through at least one of the hundreds of apps that leverage Plaid’s application program interfaces (APIs).

The platform allows companies to create financial services applications without having to hire their own team of engineers to build out a tool that connects apps to its users’ bank accounts. This is very valuable in a world where there are increasing number of fintechs, so the demand for Plaid's services are only going to grow.
