Role
Who you are
- 4+ years of experience in IT system support, with a focus on device lifecycle management, user support, and videoconferencing solutions
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- Commitment to teamwork, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to provide friendly, approachable support to users
- Proficiency in managing Windows and macOS, with Linux experience as a plus
- Experience with Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Office365, Bitwarden, Envoy, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), or similar systems
- Solid knowledge of videoconferencing solutions (Polycom, Zoom)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional working proficiency in English, the language of the company
Desirable
- Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, Groovy/Jira ScriptRunner) and automation development
- Linux experience
- Experience in configuring role-based access management
- Experience supporting remote or hybrid work environments
- Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks

- As an IT Systems Engineer, you will help build and operate systems that keep our global workforce productive, secure and well supported. This role combines hands-on systems engineering with user-facing support, ensuring employees have a reliable and seamless technology experience
- You will work across endpoint management, identity platforms, and automation while also supporting users with a friendly customer-oriented mindset. We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, improving processes, and exploring new tools - including AI-driven solutions - to help make IT operations more scalable and efficient
- Device Lifecycle Management: Manage the full lifecycle of devices, from procurement and setup to deployment, maintenance, patch management, reporting and decommissioning
- User Support: Provide advanced support for employees using Windows and MacOS operating systems. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
- Videoconferencing Solutions: Support and maintain office videoconferencing solutions, including Polycom and Zoom Rooms, ensuring smooth and reliable operation
- Onboarding/Offboarding: Handle onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring they have the necessary IT resources and access
- Design, implement, and refine IT processes to enhance operational efficiency and team including introducing new tools

Planet’s high resolution, high frequency Earth-imaging satellites make daily changes in the earth more visible, allowing the company to provide quick turnaround geo-spatial data to its customers. The company was founded by a group of former NASA employees driven by a desire to make global change more actionable by rendering it more visible.
Planet operates the largest Earth-imaging satellite network available, putting it ahead of any competitors. A partnership with Accenture comes with the goal of developing AI-powered geospatial intelligence tools to support sustainability projects; and the company's acquisition of Salo Sciences will allow it to develop offerings around enabling customers to quantify carbon stocks, monitor forest change, and mitigate climate risks.
