Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software development
- 2 - 5 years of software development experience
- Self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core
- Strong experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including design and testing
- Strong object-oriented programming experience
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server writing and maintaining stored procedures, views, etc
- Experience with healthcare or claims underwriting is a plus
- Experience using Git source control is a plus
What the job involves
- Developer will work for the Special Education group, supporting three business platforms, maintaining and helping transition from older ASP environments to .NET Core applications
- The job will involve working in a team environment adding features to existing codebases, and moving these environments to modern Microsoft technologies
- Work in an small team environment
- Take complete ownership of the assigned task and timely inform the progress of the project / task to all team members
- Actively participate in the project meetings and make valuable recommendations
- Prototyping / exploring innovative technology and articulating the business value
- Debugging and optimizing code
- Supporting the development of documentation
