Role
Who you are
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a startup or a high growth environment
- Worked in operations in any capacity
- Proven excellence in multi-tasking, prioritising projects, and meeting deadlines and goals
- Experience using Excel and/or Google sheets to an intermediate level at least
- Able to work autonomously - we will give you all the tools you need to succeed, but being a fast-growth startup we take ownership of our work streams and would need you to do the same
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment and think outside the box to keep us ahead of the curve
Desirable
- People management experience
- Exposure to / experience of finance processes such as invoicing, reconciliations and/or using Xero
What the job involves
- Reporting into the Head of Operations, you will ensure the smooth daily operations of the business
- Coordinate our remote marketplace operations teams - three high performing teams with excellent individual contributors based in different English-speaking locations. This involves managing the team schedule and rota, as well as measuring its effectiveness to course correct when necessary
- Deliver on key team metrics like how quickly teachers are available for work and how quickly they are sent out for their first day of work
- Collaborate with the School Success team to plan for current and forecasted demand
- You will also have responsibility for some operational finance tasks
- Creating the weekly payment schedules to ensure candidates are paid on a weekly basis. Responding to any related queries
- Dealing with invoice queries and making changes within the accounting system to ensure accurate representation of bookings within the Zen Educate platform
