Who you are
- Some hands-on experience with PHP and MySQL – through studies, internships, previous jobs or personal projects – and an eagerness to learn modern frameworks like Symfony
- A basic understanding of how web applications work (MVC pattern)
- Enthusiasm for writing clean code and an interest in learning software design principles and testing practices
- Familiarity with Git and version control and a willingness to improve as you go
- A proactive attitude, team spirit, and a genuine desire to grow your engineering skills in a supportive environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and open to feedback and mentorship

- Join an agile, collaborative team and contribute to the development of our core product used by physicians and medical students worldwide
- Work on real features from day one – with support from experienced engineers to help guide your learning and growth
- Write clean, maintainable code and tests
- Learn best practices, like SOLID principles and design patterns
- Participate in team discussions and planning sessions to help shape solutions and learn how technical decisions are made
- Continuously learn by working with and learning from your teammates, with opportunities to grow your skills and knowledge over time
Our take
Becoming a doctor is challenging, and this already demanding journey is further complicated by the intricate web of the medical education system. The current system often imposes restrictions on collaboration, fails to provide integrated resources, and lacks supportive examination boards.
AMBOSS was founded by doctors initially to help medical students overcome this, but has now extended to become a knowledge platform for all types of medical professionals. Today the company‘s products are used by more than two million healthcare professionals and students in over 170 countries.
The regularly upgraded knowledge base that the company has developed is an incredible growing asset.
