Role
Who you are
- At least five (5) years of experience designing brand and marketing communications in an in-house, corporate, or agency setting
- Advanced level in Adobe CC (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and a working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word
- Basic knowledge of Figma
- Expert with core elements of design such as typography, layout, color, and image composition having advanced knowledge of image retouching and color correction
- Strong collaboration skills with team members and across departments throughout the life cycle of a project while managing feedback efficiently
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment being able to adapt and pivot quickly
- Strong communicator at all levels in the organization
- Fluent design understanding across print, environmental, motion, and digital touchpoints knowing production and brand guidelines’ best practices across media
- Proactive self-starter with patience, perseverance, and efficient time-management skills
- Ability to communicate the strategic idea behind their concept and design
- B.A./B.S./B.F.A. in a related field (e.g., graphic design, digital design, visual communication, or other design-related fields) or equivalent work experience
What the job involves
- The Graphic Designer ideates and executes impactful visual designs based on strategic insights across a variety of internal and external communications on the Pax8 Marketing team. Their goal is to help our audiences understand our values quickly and efficiently in a persuasive manner
- The Designer maintains our high design standards and Pax8 brand integrity for all materials and advocates for the value of design
- In the role of a conceptual thinker and strategy-focused creative, they participate in brainstorming sessions and creative concepting, are comfortable taking on opportunities and work with existing creative and templates to meet our marketing objectives
- This role sits within the in-house Design team but works very closely across other internal teams
- Ideate and create designs for print, digital, and social that take strategic business and user objectives, brand guidelines, and industry trends into account working together with different cross-functional teams (e.g., guides, banners, emails, social ads, presentations, web-image assets)
- Maintain brand consistency with proactive quality control across deliverables and media
- Brainstorm and contribute to the ideation of digital marketing campaigns, brand strategies, merchandise, and web properties
- Optimize design processes and maintain a strong organizational focus on brand templates, toolkits, and libraries
Our take
Cloud computing facilitates access to software products without having the computer power required to use them, presenting great opportunities for enterprises to benefit from cutting-edge software. However, managing subscriptions to cloud products can be a convoluted process unique to each software product, presenting the need for a unified accessibility solution.
Pax8 provides an online marketplace for cloud-based software, allowing businesses to order, bill, manage, and provision cloud products within a single place. The marketplace contains a curated catalogue of cloud providers, a license management dashboard, demo infrastructure and tools for billing and invoicing, ultimately ensuring that users do not need to navigate outside the platform to manage their cloud software inventory.
Whilst many of the services provided by Pax8 are already included in cloud software applications, the company has made the smart move of partnering with software providers such as Bam Boom Cloud to unify all management tools into a single platform. By ensuring companies can browse, purchase, and manage cloud solutions within the marketplace, the company aims to increase accessibility and minimise complexities associated with cloud computing.
